Rooted in Solidarity: Black Trans Power, Care, and Resistance

What began as a political gathering of Black trans leaders and a transnational delegation to Colombia became something none of us could have anticipated. When the earthquake struck, our plans shifted and so did our understanding of solidarity, collective care, safety, and responsibility.

Rooted in Solidarity brings together participants to reflect on what we built, what the earthquake revealed, and how this experience transformed our relationships and our commitment to Black trans liberation across borders.

Confirmed Participants include: Mauri Balanta Jaramillo, Matheuzza Xavier and Janvieve Williams Comrie
